| 1437097 | 2017-07-13 11:37:00 | Hi, I downloaded a wondershare program the other day which I have since uninstalled (but not completely by the looks of it) I now get this pop up appearing "ws helper.exe" every time I launch my google chrome browse How can I get rid of it..I have run my malwarebytes program on it but its still showing up |

Its under advanced options then, in this order (after trying the malware scanners above, all set to max , not a quickscan) have a look in ad/remove programs. There may be other crap that wondershare installed (look at date installed) have a close look at the chrome shortcuts, sometimes the crap gets added into the actual shortcuts . right click & look at what the shortcut runs eg Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe , NOT "Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe xxxx" reset internet to defaults (control panel) look at whats in the scheduled tasks do a search through the registry for wondershare & wshelper etc *** when running those malware scanners above, you MUST MUST disable the AV temporarily |
