1437042 2017-07-10 19:52:00 Hello, for just about a year now, captchas, no matter the site, won't show. This is very much an issue for me as I can't login and what not to websites that use the verification. I have tried using various different browsers such as google chrome, firefox, and opera. I have tried using different search engines, clearing cookies and history, clearing the network cache, uninstalling and re-installing (multiple times), and just about everything I can think of. I have browsed through pages and pages, but most are either about captachas not showing on their website or something of that sort and the ones I have found that are for people having my problem, the solutions either don't work or are things I've already tried. I'd like to thank you in advance for any help that can be offered, this is a very.. very, irritating issue. iAeri3 (17559)
1437043 2017-07-10 22:29:00 Have you tried disabling Hardware Acceleration in which ever browser you are using ? Depending on the Browser will depend on where the settings are.

Also -- What OS are you using and what Antivirus / Security Software ?

1437044 2017-07-11 02:03:00 I have indeed, and nothing has changed. As for my OS I am running Windows ten, and as for my antivirus software, currently I use Advanced System Care, Malwarebytes, Iobit Malwarefighter. There are a few others I use such as Ccleaner, Iobit uninstaller, and Wise Registry cleaner (The issue was happening before this was downloaded). iAeri3 (17559)
1437045 2017-07-11 02:15:00 ...currently I use Advanced System Care,

God help us. Just no . :badpc: :badpc:

and...
Iobit Malwarefighter
Wise Registry cleaner

so no real surprise you have issues then. Snake oil.
Im surprised malwarebytes hasnt tried to remove all those, or at least mark them as PUP's

It also depends what type of captcha the site is using, if the site is being partially blocked in NZ , yes that happens ( DNS block )

Some capcha's dont always work for me . It depends on the site & the Browser addons & the AV (ie AV with internet security built in)

Try using 8.8.8.8 as your DNS setting
Default/reset your browsers & internet settings. Uninstall 3rd party AV & Firewalls ( for testing )

1437047 2017-07-11 03:34:00 Thus far I have tried all of your recommendations, I've tried uninstalling the 3rd party AV's and firewalls, and I've also tried changing my DNS settings. neither of those worked for me unfortunately. Thanks for trying though. iAeri3 (17559)
1437048 2017-07-11 04:19:00 There may be something not quite right with the OS if its affecting every browser.

Try opening Firefox in safe mode - then go to a site that has a captcha, see if it displays support.mozilla.org If it shows the captcha, then theres some program /add on that's causing the problem that's common to all browsers.

Bit of a long shot, but this wont hurt. Run a few commands.
In the search type in CMD right click the result /run as administrator. Type in sfc /scannow <Press enter key>

It will start to run, see what it finishes with. If there's a problem it cant fix, you may need to re-run it, It could take up to three tries for SFC to fix the issue.

Then run this DISM command. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth it will take a while to run and often appears to stop at 20% just leave it, it will finish on its own.

The above commands may have no effect but it wont hurt if the system is damaged ( or shouldn't anyway).

Fault finding something like this can be tedious as no one apart from yourself can see exactly what's on the computer or going on, so some of its guess work and 20 questions. :nerd:

1437049 2017-07-11 04:56:00 give us a link to the capcha pages not working .. it may not be your PC

One of the original capcha's was killed off , so it might be the web pages havent updated with a newer working capcha system .......

or try these & see if they work.
two are just a tick box, the others a bunch of letters & numbers

1437050 2017-07-11 08:46:00 The CMD commands do not seem to have fixed the issue by any means, or at least not in any means apparent. As for the links only two of them showed the capcha box (The ones with the letters & numbers) but both of the others were just invisible.

Two of the websites that I have had issues with thus far include but are not limited to:

www.spotify.com
mail.protonmail.com (On the verification page: gyazo.com )a

1437051 2017-07-11 09:11:00 Check something please -- Go into the control panel / Internet Options / Advanced Tab, scroll down till you find Multimedia, look to see whats unticked, they should all be ticked (default) with the exception of "Show Image Download Placeholders" If any others are unticked, tick them and reboot.

What happened when you tried Firefox in safe mode ?
