768593 2009-04-26 06:45:00 Hi all,

I now see F-Secure are recommending consumers not use Abobe Reader because of how insecure it is and the number of vulnerabilities they keep finding.

Searching through previous F1 posts (as well as the comments posted against the atricle I linked), it seems that Foxit is the main alternative people use, although some people have posted about problems with it too.
Is Foxit the best alternative in your opinions?

768595 2009-04-26 06:53:00 Yep, only thing about foxit is it asks to install ebay links now:(

I've tried this for a while and so far its quite nice, except that there's no tabs currently:

768596 2009-04-26 06:55:00 it's good having multiple pdf's open at one time GameJunkie (72)
768597 2009-04-26 06:58:00 With Foxit I find that sometimes I get a message saying that the file has features that can only be displayed with the latest version of Adobe Reader but the files still open anyway. FoxyMX (5)
768598 2009-04-26 06:58:00 I tried Sumatra for a while but for some reason it would not open PDF's from Air New Zealand the ones containing your etickets so switched to Foxit and they opened fine. gary67 (56)

768600 2009-04-26 13:49:00 I use Foxit now, since Adobe is much too bloated.

It's very good, fast, and small. Haven't come across any issues

768602 2009-04-26 22:32:00 Yep, I think there is occasionally some minor isues with the way Foxit displays some types of formats/pages, but I've never run into them. +1 for Foxit. wratterus (105)
