767985 2009-04-24 03:20:00 Reach this stage
Nokia PC Suite-Get Connected; reach step 2 out of 3
then get this message;
"! Cannot use the connection type check that all the needed hardware, software and drivers are available".
Cables which maybe be the answer are either unknown by experts or hard to locate.

Any tips on how to get to step 3 etc?

767986 2009-04-26 21:42:00 Real Player 11 also does not work with Windows Vista. Any connection to the above? Computer settings the problem? mack (10410)
767987 2009-04-26 22:05:00 My nokia suite works fine with Vista but I didn't do anything special, just installed it. DeSade (984)
767988 2009-04-27 00:27:00 DeSade thanks. That reduces it now to two possibilities; the cellphone and the computer. On XP it works fine. mack (10410)
767989 2009-04-27 00:31:00 Try running it in compatibility mode.

Right Click the file>Properties.Compatibility Mode tab>Tick Run in Compatibility mode for: Windows XP SP2.

767990 2009-04-27 00:59:00 I am using vista 64bit it does seem better at this sort of thing than 32bit so might be a factor. DeSade (984)
767991 2009-04-27 04:56:00 Are the drivers actually properly installed? Bluetooth or USB cable? The DKU-5 cable is especially picky. pcuser42 (130)
767992 2009-04-28 22:46:00 Thanks guys. Nokia Software Updater responds with the message "Unable to find phone". Still at least initially it may require a cable. Found a driver. mack (10410)
