595910 2007-09-28 04:51:00 Not bad actually.
Wednesday was dead.
Takings were almost what I need to keep the thing running.
Earnings $0.
But hey, not bad for week 1..............especially as expenses have jumped from nothing to lots.

Quite a lot of people taking cards and asking advice and stuff as well.

One guy wanted to know what book I use.
Book?
Like the other guy round the corner - he looks it up in a book - what to do to fix a problem.

The mind boggles - Computer Repair for Dummies perhaps?

595911 2007-09-28 04:58:00 What's the most common repair you have to do - if there is a common one?
Would it be viable to charge for advice?
Do you have a call out fee?

Very good. Most shops probably make a big loss the first week.

595915 2007-09-28 09:00:00 Probaly like business I am in. All quiet one day and the next cant cope and turning work away. Pity people didnt break down evenly through the day instead of all at once. I think retail is a bit quiet at moment, there may be reccession around the corner and people are tightening their belts.

I think that depends on what market your in, how good your product is and how good you are at selling it. ;) Considering that the sub prime housing market crunch in the US market is affecting many companies that service the lower income customers but not affecting other companies.
