You cannot have to be at the speed instantly either lowering it or raising it at the moment the sign is perpendicular to your door handle. It's not fair. Don't they put up signs to inform you that there's a speed change either up or down, ahead? That would be cricket. I have never heard of someone getting a ticket for going too slow... As I said before, it is a limit, not a target... thats what all the adverts say here anyway... |

| 594776 | 2007-09-26 23:27:00 | It wasn't a school bus that I passed, nor, at 7pm, was it during school hours so even though I did, I had no obligation to slow down. It was common sense to do so, however, which paid off. Sorry didn't see this response. Fair enough then, I know from when I was at school though that people never slow down to 20 when passing a school bus. It's just a waste of time really. |

I think it's very necessasry, I know kids tend to run out from behind or infront of a school bus without looking, while chatting to friends or whatever. It's annoying, but slowing down to 20 or 30kph is something I've always done. It's worth a few cents of petrol and a few seconds out of your day knowing if a kid does run out from behind a bus, you'll have time to swerve or stop. Thats one law I reckon is sensible. |
