594901	2007-09-25 22:06:00	The only problem with mods banning people is maybe they wont come back. Its a big internet out there and we will be poorer without them. Mods should take some chill pills. tedheath You'd rather we let people get abusive and nasty towards anyone when ever they see fit? This place is primarily a help forum where computer users of all levels of experience can come and ask for help from our usually friendly and knowledgeable patrons. We want to keep it that way. If the occasional PF1er goes rogue and starts spouting off abuse and using foul language, well then they know full well they're going to face a ban and have no one to blame but themselves. I suggest that if someone wants to get aggressive then by all means, go visit one of the many unmoderated forums out there, have a vent, curse till the cows come home, call me nasty names, question my parentage, kick the cat and generally have a good old tanty. Then, after they've calmed down, come back to one of the few pleasant corners of the internet we have left and enjoy some friendly, mostly intelligent banter with the locals. That's not too much to ask is it? In spite of what you MIGHT think . . . I too like rules and regulations . It's the only way to know where one stands at any given moment . I don't have any problem with a ban or a spanking and I think it is really a good tail-twist that some might like to give to you mods . . . just in fun and not really like they want to go to where you live and flatten your tires, set fire to your dog and let your sheep out of the pen . Sometimes, a cigar is just a cigar . Other times, the jokes are just a way of loosening things and making it a little easier for the banished one to return . Maybe they are just trying to grease the skids for his return . . . maybe . But attempting to understand motives is just a hobby of mine . Mostly I feel everybody knows and wants to adhere to the rules . . . and although there are times when a person may blast something or other, in the long run and in the time that people get to know each other here, it's just a blip on the radar and not something that indicates that the mods have somehow failed to act quickly and harshly enough . You guys do a great job . . . one I would not want . I have been treated fairly even when I ACCIDENTALLY included a link to a bad site . . . (Jen caught me I think) . . . it was not something that I personally thought had been done out of a vendetta or nastiness by her . I goofed and she was right . Now . . Metla adds a certain . . . . how can I say this . . . . "joie de la vie" . . . and although I would not kiss my momma with the same mouth that says those words . . . he is a character that I . . . . . . . er . . . . admit to being . . uh . . . . . entertaining . In regards to me, well, I'm intent on being me...Its what I do. And if that gets me banned....so be it, The powers that be make the decisions on what they think is best for the place. God knows if I was the big cheese I would be laying waste to pecker heads left right and center. Though I would probably be applauded for my efforts. ........................................HA I did presume I would get a complete ban for my effort, My calculations must have been a bit wonky.
