| 769310 | 2009-04-29 00:27:00 | A while ago my OneCare program tried to update itself and couldn't finish. I got a message about 'winsscommon.dll' file could not be found' and then said to reinstall the program. I tried to do that but got a message saying that first I should uninstall it first. But it won't uninstall... This morning I downloaded, paid for and ran Regcure to fix all my computer's apparently endless errors (925) but I still can't get Onecare to uninstall so I can do a reinstall. On this computer I'm running Vista Business... I've also got OneCare running on an old XP machine with no problems. I'm not exactly computer literate when it comes to the nuts and bolts but does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance |

Regcure and registry *fixing* programs can be quite hamrful. I would only ever trust CCleaner or Glary Utilites. Blam |

| 769312 | 2009-04-29 02:19:00 | Ditch OneCare - it's hopeless. Get a decent Antivirus and at least 2 antispywares - Spybot & MalwareBytes are 2 good ones. Regcure is nasty - get rid of that too. |
