| 769095 | 2009-04-28 00:23:00 | Hi i have a vodophone vodem which sometimes runs as it should but other days will start oka then slow down to a crawl then hang and do nothing so you stop it and have to restart it and maybe it works properly or it might just hang again vodophone dont have any sugestions is there any tweeks i can do to improve its proformance in my comp settings or is it just that these things simply go slow on a random basis would there be any advantage in putting more ram in my laptop specifically to sort this problem otherwise i will try broadband at home so i can consistantly get fast speeds though reading the forums it would apear broadband can be a bit of a lottery anyway my laptop specs are (its probably 4 years old ) toshiba tecra with a intel pentium m processor with 503 mb ram mobile intel 915 gm/gms 910gml chipset 1.6 ghz running windows xp pro sp3 would more ram make the comp work faster for normal day to day stuff (word processing editing photos etc nothing to complicated ) thanks for any advice as this problem fustrates the hell out of me |

| 769097 | 2009-04-28 00:28:00 | Is the computer slowing down of the internet? Another gig or 2 of RAM would really boost things:) The only thing is, your laptop probably uses DDR RAM which is quite expensive:( Blam |
