| 768703 | 2009-04-26 10:31:00 | :help: Hi. I'm trying to help a friend out who appears to have malware. His 3gb broadband gets used up in around 15 days and is mostly on uploads (100mb+ minimum per day. He says that he definitely doesn't P2P and doesn't upload anything to his knowledge (doesn't have VOIP either). I've checked my own usage and my uploads average about 15MB a day with occasional spikes when my wife is using Skype heavily. I've had him run malwarebytes, Superantispyware and his security suite (Mcafee I believe) and while they have detected and dealt with some nasties he still has large uploads happening. I hope to be able to get round to his place and have a good look at what's happening but in the meantime would somebody mind have a look at his Hijackthis log and see if there's anything obvious?
