If I considered "experiences" as mistakes I would have to consider my self accident prone. (I don't so I ain't.) With the power of positive thinking, and a few negative events we can all keep current, shocking though that may be. | R2x1 (4628) | ||
| 596635 | 2007-10-06 09:58:00 | We need to decide what a "mistake" is. I suggest it is a decision we make which we regret afterwards. That regret could be seconds or years later and the magnitude can range from not wearing a coat when the weather turns cold, to losing the love of your life. The regret can be equally ephemeral or longlasting. As Personthingy says, a mistake is an experience, an event. How we view it determines whether it is really a mistake (and deeply regretted) or else it is consequence which we can understand in advance next time. Hopefully the knowledge makes us better people and leads to greater maturity. Wisdom. It is said that if you aren't making mistakes you aren't learning. |
