2007-09-30 23:38:00 | Will the new 'HD UHF" antenna be the same as the normal ones? They are just plain UHF aerials like the old UHF SKY ones (you can use these as well). Don't know about HD dates but would suspect on the launch date. Just make sure you have a set-top box that does MPEG4 for HD as none currently do.

2007-10-01 18:26:00 | Or worse. Those people being sucked in by the Warehouse ads for large screen TVs that are "HD ready" but only have a 480 panel.. What specs should it be? Does the 480 panel mean that the screen will produce HD but not true high resolution of HD?

It means that it will only show SD regardless of what you put into it. A panel needs to be 720P or better to be considered to be a HD TV unless you live on Ozz where 576P is considered HD by some networks.. |

2007-10-01 21:15:00 | gonna wait till the HD boxes come out. our TV already does 480p 720p and 1080i so thats all good. currently have to watch tv1 and 2 through a blizzard most of the time. but thats ok. not long to wait for the new set top boxes. | Cho (12330) | |
2007-10-02 03:01:00 | What specs should it be? Does the 480 panel mean that the screen will produce HD but not true high resolution of HD?It will lower the resolution to SD. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between HD and SD (assuming the source material is the same quality).
