769375 2009-04-29 03:23:00 Noticed that Microsoft lists IE 8 as a High Priority Update.
Has anyone used it?
Any concerns about downloading & installing it?

769376 2009-04-29 03:30:00 I've had it installed since it came out. Nothing wrong with it.

I've even slipstreamed it with Nlite, and made an ISO (have to get some blank cd's first)

769379 2009-04-29 03:57:00 MS are pushing it out to customers.

And if you've got automatic updates on auto, it'll probably install while youre doing something else

769380 2009-04-29 04:04:00 i did an update today which was just for Office07 on two computers but no extra update for IE8 GameJunkie (72)
769381 2009-04-29 04:09:00 Well if IE 8 is already installed, it wont tell you to install / get it again

There are a few updates for XP, IE and Office, that wont appear (in the shield on the taskbar, or in Windowsupdate).

Since, theyre probably not important (or needed).

If you want it, you'll have to go to the MS download site, search for it, download it manually then install it

769382 2009-04-29 04:15:00 I noticed that as well - Two of my own Vista PC's had the install available from Windows update, yet a third one & another customers PC, that I have just finished reinstalling, didn't have the IE8 update available .

The ones that had the updates along with office updates all went in fine .

The only difference I can see is the ones that got offered the updates have office 2007 installed, the others don't have office .

769384 2009-04-29 05:48:00 Okay just to add a bit of confusion as to whats triggering the IE 8 in Auto Updates - Windows XP - Fresh install, NO office - IE8 was there  wainuitech (129)
