597538 2007-10-03 08:09:00 Welcome to PressF1:)

Thats just a problem with Vista and how it calculates the time estimated and is notoriously in-accurate. They've actually fixed that in the SP1 thats gone into beta release. Dw about it.

597539 2007-10-03 11:06:00 yeah but do the files actually copy with speed after the fix, or is it only a fix for the estimated time. I had to laugh when it took Vista 1 minute to shift 60 MB of files from one folder to another... gibler (49)
597540 2007-10-03 18:52:00 Sometimes XP overcalculates, but only by a couple of minutes. pcuser42 (130)

The SP1 is supposed to help with both the file transfer rate and the time calculation.

597542 2007-10-04 04:16:00 I got the same experience copying files from one folder to another. Sam thing when it copy something from external hard drive via USB.

My XP works 3 times faster.
