| 597845 | 2007-10-04 09:44:00 | Thought I might get an account with them to purchase stuff (like a rapidshare account :lol: ) But stumbled on a site www.paypalsucks.com which basically says they are pretty damn evil to put it mildly. I see most of these people on there are complaining about paypal freezing their accounts when they try to receive money, now I'm just looking to use it to occasionally pay for things that don't support direct credit card payment Interestingly some of the threads on that forum were started in 2003, which makes me think that paypal might not suck as much now, or might be fine Thought I'd try to get a possibly unbiased opinion not related to a paypal-hater's site What do people here think of paypal? |

If they were really that bad, they wouldn't be able to keep this number of customers, and keep it this way for how ever many years they've been operating. I think you'll be safe using them - they're well established, and I believe they are now owned by eBay. |

I haven't actually tested the service yet, but it looks promising. [edit] if anyone wants to donate some cash to me via Paymate I'll happily give a full, free review of their service! ;) |

| 597852 | 2007-10-05 04:00:00 | I use Paypal... 1st time was when I bought a Rapidshare account, I've never had any problems with them and the service is pretty good. Never had any erraneous charges on my credit card since using them. Cheers |
