770298 2009-05-02 10:36:00 Either something unknown is really screed up your windows install, or you have a faulty network card. I suggest you head down to a DSE store when you can & pick up one of their cheap network cards. If that isn't the problem you can return the card & get your money back.


Can you please post a screenshot of the network connections folder on both your laptop & your desktop?

one other question when you are trying to setup the pc is the laptop also on the network or using the router at the same time:No, I move the cable from one device to the other. The laptop is working fine...no problems

and if you did have are you plugging in the modem/router to the same plug on the pc that dailup account was using
