597997 2007-10-08 20:14:00 That would be a very successful dead flogged horse Bruce.

How does one measure success in the flogging of dead horses? ;)

597999 2007-10-08 22:50:00 I really don't like the ipod.

Their brand really annoys me.lol

I have no idea why but everytime I hear the word or have someone owning an ipod it just really annoys but for those who own another brand like creative, cowon iaudio or something like iriver.I feel really happy.

I just don't like using ipod

By the amount of units sold in the quarter against that of any remaining competition. The nearest of which would be the Zune.

Records are the best way to reproduce music. It's why the best CD players are engineered to sound like the best turntables - but not other way around.

Of course, if you just want a little plastic hard drive enclosure and a tiny signal conveying a lossy digital format into tiny earplugs - then you'll be happy with an iPod.

That might be why we also have a CD player although I don't actually play any CDs through it anymore. For best sound you can use Apple Lossless.

I personally prefer to listen to CDs on a top Hi Fi system via Denon speakers (like my dad's system) although in terms of selection - I'll go with my 3500 song music list on shuffle.
Also I doubt very many 15-25 year olds would know what Vinyl even sounded like these days as they have all been bought up listening to CDs and pirated MP3s.

iPods are now made from aluminum except for the iPod Classic.

598006 2007-10-09 03:02:00 The iPod plays Apple lossless? I did not know that!

And they're aluminium!

Well, if only they had a user replaceable battery - then I would still not like to have one (but to a lesser degree)....
