| 769944 | 2009-05-02 01:56:00 | When I look at the Belarc report on my monitor I have the option to email the page - or I can Save As and give it a name but then it appears the only file attachments I can include here are jpg? Help again! VBG |

| 769945 | 2009-05-02 02:53:00 | Ok....I hardly ever use Belarc, so try downloading Everest Home Edition (www.softpedia.com), open up the Everest.exe and Select "Report" and create a full report in plain text and copy and paste here with CODE tags(to save the scroll wheel:p) Blam |

| 769947 | 2009-05-02 05:18:00 | When you get a new screen, you will need to make sure you change your screen resolution to whatever the monitor is designed for - in the case of most of the newer 20/22" ones, it'll be 1680x1050. That will make sure the image is crisp and sharp. This assumes that your graphics card will support it, and there are conflicting reports of this online - in theory it'll be fine (since you're not doing any gaming), but you may run into problems with drivers. There is one thing to be aware of however, which is if you google the terms "nvidia geforce 6600 1680x1050", there are cases of people having trouble getting their screens to work with that graphics card - in one example the person got it working by using the VGA connector instead of DVI (VGA is an older connector which is probably what you're using now. DVI is a newer type of connector, and is probably on you graphics card next to the VGA one you're using now). Most new monitors come with both options (and both cables). |

| 769948 | 2009-05-02 05:32:00 | Bryden: Since you've mentioned earlier that you don't intend on doing any gaming, then your current system should be fine for any of the new 20/22/24" monitors. I highly doubt that-my friend previously owned a Nvideo GF 6600 with a 22" screen...it worked fine but as soon as he played movies etc the performance was very bad, jagged video etc I wouldn't suggest it personally-the GF 6600 would be under ALOT of pressure... |
