Then a friend of mine bought one of those raidmax 500 watt PSUs that were exploding a while back (primary side capacitor had vented on his one) took it back to them (turns out it's not a shop, but a house) and said this ist stuffed, give us a new one so the guy hooked it up to his tester, all rails appeared to work, so he said it's fine. I said no, if you look in through the fan you can see where the capacitor is leaking now - he said we don't usually replace a PSU when it's working fine. Working fine aye? could have sworn something was blown in there... but they replaced it anyway. |

"The comments for your order are out of stock due in september Your order has been updated to the following status. New status: backorder" Strange I thought as I ordered it at the end of September. Anyway I forgot about it for a while (exams at the moment) and then after a couple weeks emailed to ask what was going on. No reply. Rang them, got an answering machine saying they'll be back after Labour weekend. Now I have emailed twice more asking for a refund. No reply. Yay, looks like I'll get to go to the Disputes Tribunal. PCtek we can be witnesses for each other :) |
