769999 2009-05-01 10:38:00 I see on the Intel site (downloadcenter.intel.com) the 2nd option the 32 bit floppy config util. Its got the files for AHCI in it (I take it these are for a floppy, so you can press F6 during install)???

It'll be good, because I dont have a floppy.

Has anyone slipstreamed these files (iaahci.cat,iastor.sys/cat/inf, iaahci.inf, the licence and txtsetup.oem) onto a CD??

If you have (using something like nlite), would you add both inf files above, in the drivers window?

770000 2009-05-01 10:59:00 What I usually do is put those drivers in Nlite at the "Insert Drivers" step

Never tried using a CD but I think USB works...

770001 2009-05-01 11:03:00 Yup thats what I'm talking about but since there's 2 inf files (iaahci and iastor), would you add both?

I guess you would, since both have cat files as well?

770004 2009-05-01 11:36:00 Cool ta for the link Stephen. Looks pretty good to me. Looks like Ive got the right drivers (mines the ICH10R) Might try it tomorrow (Ive added the bookmark)

I found this site (communities.intel.com) as well. I'll try your link first !

770005 2009-05-01 11:57:00 Yup I have added both to my XP install CD for my laptop.
Nlite actually then gives you a list of the actual drivers which you can install or not.
I wasn't sure what chipset my laptop has so I did the lot.
Works great

770006 2009-05-01 11:59:00 Cool ta for the info Cyabro :) !

Ive done everything else (slipstreamed IE8 / updates, WMP 11, netframework files upto 3.5 SP1, and SP3), and created an ISO for these. Just have to add the above drivers then make another ISO.

770007 2009-05-01 13:06:00 Sweet, I slipstreamed the SATA and chipset drivers on the other PC here !

So far so good, no errors. Will have to wait till I need to reformat this again, to see how it goes
