| 769638 | 2009-04-30 03:21:00 | Hi Everyone I have been endeavouring to help several friends (on dial up) with the new version of AVG Free - two have gone fine, but the third desktop PC wont uninstall.... I have tried reinstalling the old version and choosing Repair - doesn't work, tried uninstalling through Add/Remove Programmes - still no success. Any clues on what I can do to get around this please? The old version expires today I understand. TIA Bryden |

| 769639 | 2009-04-30 03:33:00 | Grab the AVG remover from here (www.avg.com). And I sincerely hope you aren't reinstalling AVG? For a free AV, use Avast Home. For a paid one use NOD32. NOD32 is excellent. AVG used to be good, but it changed... |

| 769643 | 2009-04-30 05:56:00 | Yeah, AVG has gone a long way downhill, their new software is heavy and buggy, and does't do a very good job of preventng and removing viruses compared to other software that's out there. You'll thank yourself if you switched to Avast. :) |
