769537 2009-04-29 11:28:00 I have been searching through past threads trying to find an answer but can’t.
I have three Broadband ADSL Modems here & have compared the download speeds of all of them.
Dynalink RTA1335, Vodafone MT882, Linksys WAG200G
I realise they are not top models.
I used 4 common broadband speedtests & the results were pretty similar.
So why would the Linksys be so much slower to download a video file.
It is the only wireless one but I was using a cable, same as the others.
It’s less than half the speed of the others.

769538 2009-04-30 00:43:00 Any help on this would be appreciated.
The Linksys is the one I prefer to use as it is 4 port + wireless.
I don't want to go tossing it in the bin & buying a new one if I just have something set wrong.
I will continue to look on the net for answers & also for later firmware.

Try setting it to default values

769540 2009-04-30 01:33:00 Thanks.
I have just checked the firmware & it is the latest version available to me.
I don't have a router, just broadband modem.
The configuration may not be standard. I bought it second hand.
When I set it up, all I did once I entered the setup, was put in user & password.
It went straight on line after that.
I could try the reset button on the back.

769541 2009-04-30 02:01:00 I also notice that Linksys is much slower than others, even the Thomson speedtouch ( free from Teleocm) is much faster than Linksys. I always thought that Linkysis is one of the best in the industry. bk T (215)
769542 2009-04-30 05:18:00 Just reset to default.
Seems to be a little faster.
Still slower than the Dynalink though.
