598214 2007-10-05 09:42:00 Hi,

I'm after, well , a carry-bag for my 17inch widescreen LCD monitor. The Geargrip LCD Shield would be perfect, but I cannot find a NZ retailer.
tinyurl.com

Langear used to sell them, but have closed down. I could order one of somewhere like ThinkGeek, but would rather buy locally to cut down on wait-time and shipping costs.

Does anyone know of a NZ retailer for Geargrip? If not do you know on any alternitives?

Cheers,
Greville

Fits the monitor perfectly, has a nice carry handle, and can be painted on the outside to disguise it.

Depends. If it has a large foot/base then it might not fit in.

Not to mention putting pressure onto the screen side of the bag. = money down the gurgler

Go to a canvas shop, (these make and sew all sorts of things from all types of material) and see if they can make something ? or at least give you a cost / quote.

just an idea, as a friend of mine is a canvas maker by trade and makes all sorts of things from shade sails, bags, boot liners, ute covers and boat covers, and the list goes on. he will give anything a go, and can make things from a rough sketch if needed. surely there would be someone local?
