771348 2009-05-06 00:11:00 Hi all,

I installed Win7 Beta from the March issue DVD on a dual boot setup but I found that I don't use it that much and want to uninstall it to recover disk space

I've installed it on a partition (F:) which is separate to the drive where my Win Vista is installed on (C:)

What would be the safest way to uninstall it and also remove the dual boot screen when starting up the computer?

Thanks

NOTE: I have quite a number of non system files in the partition which I don't want to lose so reformatting the partition isn't an option.

771349 2009-05-06 00:30:00 Grab the important files you need and copy it to Windows Vista.

Then, using BCDEDIT tool from cmd or EasyBCD(program) delete the Windows 7 bootloader.

771350 2009-05-06 00:47:00 Go into Disk Mgmt on Vista and delete the partition after you've done what Blam said. Then extend the partition so the Vista partition is the size of the original Vista partition + the size of the Windows 7 partition (assuming they're on the same disk). jwil1 (65)

Oops, forgot to mention you have to delete the partition too:p

Do it in Vista using Disk Manager as Jwil mentioned(run>diskmgmt.msc)

Then right Click Vista partition>extend.
