771370 2009-05-05 23:14:00 Just wanting to get a bit of an idea about any software (preferably freebie) that can be used in a work environment to store, the ever increasing, list of user names and passwords etc for logging onto websites??
What do other people use?

771371 2009-05-05 23:44:00 I have mine in a text file.
The Text file is put inside Folder Lock. I can put Folder Lock on a flash drive and take it with me it I am away with the laptop.

Encrypted and I hope secure.

Very configurable and comes in a portable version too!

771374 2009-05-06 02:47:00 I have used "keypass" (portable version) - great freebie.
However I still have a Palm E on which I have "Keyring" which is what I use from day to day. All important info is encrypted on it.
I'm waiting for my Palm to die and will probably replace it with an iPod Touch. I've checked out the apps and there is a replacement for most of the apps I use on the Palm including an encrypted vault.

771375 2009-05-06 02:52:00 "Roboform" gets lots of good press but I have never used it. It also comes in a portable flavour and one for PDAs and smartphones. AvonBill (11358)
771376 2009-05-06 05:28:00 I use Opera browser which stores passwords and allows a one click logon. Not too sure how secure it is, so don't use it for internet banking etc. but it works very well. PPp (9511)
771377 2009-05-06 05:34:00 If you use Firefox then FF comes with inbuilt password manager. It also comes with Master Password, so just remember master password once and forget others.
every time you want to log in to some site (eg: PC work F1 forums, Firefox will fill out your user name, as soon as you enter your master password)
So remember 1 password and let FF do rest for you.
I am using this for a while and quite happy..
