Might be a bit tricky since its x64 (I can mount the x64 ISO), but obviously it wont do anything in x86. Or are there any programs, that can boot from an ISO (that supports a virtual cd)?? Its not a game or anything. Its a slipstreamed ISO, I made last night for XP Pro x64. Just wanted to test it, since I dont have blanks at the mo. I was going to reinstall it on a spare partition. To see if the sata / chipset drivers I added work. |

2009-05-05 22:20:00 | No, you can't boot from a virtual drive made by PowerIso, it uses a virtual driver within Windows to create the drive, so as far as your BIOS is concerned, there is no additional drive. By the way, what do you mean by "Obviously it won't do anything in x86"? If you really need to test the ISO through a full install, either burn it to CD/DVD, or use the virtual machine suggestion above.

2009-05-05 22:23:00 | Yup cant use VirtualPC since it doesnt support x64 at the guest end. Pretty stupid if you ask me, since there is a 64 bit version, BUT it doesnt work with 64 bit lol. Virtual box huh. May check that out. The main thing I want to check, are the sata drivers (I'll be changing it to AHCI in the BIOS). Something like virtualbox wouldnt tell / show you this would it (since the drivers have been slipstreamed in the ISO)

2009-05-05 22:33:00 | Is it easy to understand? I dont want something, that'll take 2 mins to install, then take all day to figure out how to use it | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2009-05-05 22:54:00 | Nup, guess I'll have to get some blanks For it to work in Virtualbox, I need a CPU that supports x64 mode. VT or something. I cant see the option in the BIOS

2009-05-05 23:09:00 | Apparently the CPU has to support VT, but I've seen it work on unsupported CPUS. What CPUs do you have? Blam
