770978 2009-05-04 09:12:00 What type of DVD drive do you have?

You can try out imgburn, but IMO its just the speed of the DVD drive and hard drive that is causing it to be slow.

You could possible re-encode the files so that they are smaller, but you will have to sacrifice a bit of quality

770979 2009-05-04 09:34:00 Basicly the speed of your burning is governed by the speed of your CPU.
What CPU do you have.

770980 2009-05-04 09:43:00 In addition to re-encoding, you could re-author a dvd, to remove/compress unnecessary segments, e.g. previews, director cuts, start-end frames, sub titles, etc. There are free programs about... kahawai chaser (3545)

770982 2009-05-04 10:20:00 Are you burning at max. speed?

And in device manager, make sure that the dvd drive is set to DMA mode.

Re-encoding (2 movies on 1 disk) or encoding is probably what's taking the time now rather than the actual burn.
