601387 2007-10-16 23:12:00 Well, there's a first time for everything.

( Limited solely to this post ) I agree with Deane F.

Crickey.
Be difficult to agree to anything else.

601388 2007-10-17 00:02:00 Also the players arent forced to do it. It is up to them. So really, all you armchair players are just going to have to put up with it, like it or not. rob_on_guitar (4196)
601389 2007-10-17 02:29:00 My opinion for what it's worth (and I know that so many of you line up with it too) is that you should be able do what the hell you like at your home games. Don't expect to be given the automatic right to perform it at away games.

It should also be performed before the national anthems to remove any mental edge it may give the all blacks - not that it appears to be working at the moment.

And don't whinge (as some do) if the opposition totally blank it - why should they take any notice.

PS England by 2 points this weekend !!!!

You have some good points for a troll!

I agree, only do the damn haka at home if you do it at all, let the opposition blank the haka at their peril, not that that has worked lately.....

How you think Eng will come back from a 36 zip loss to win by 2 shows your complete and utter lack of any rugby knowledge and the fact that you are indeed just a troll

Good luck with that though!:(

Hmmm....i seem to recall many of the media and forum "experts" writing us off against well everybody really.

Time will tell but at this level of game and pressure alot comes down to experience and mental strength and to be honest I reckon most previous form goes out of the window - look at the all blacks for example.

AND we're not in the final for two tournaments running by fluke you know, maybe the odd bit of luck but not a fluke that's for sure.

601392 2007-10-17 02:46:00 Amen. Go the Boks. wratterus (105)
601393 2007-10-17 03:00:00 English mental toughness is 2nd to none, and I'll be the 1st to acknowledge it, however English rugby skills, game plan and ball running skill are pitiful and it would be a shame to see the games pinnacle trophy go to such a team.

I wont comment on 2003, however to say England hadn't had their fair share of luck this tournament would be having a laugh!.

So will we still hear from you if you lose come Monday?

Of course you will mate, we don't mind losing (we don't enjoy it though but sometimes s*** happens) and just enjoy live sport and associated banter. I remember seeing England get whupped over here in 05 (I think, maybe 04) at Eden Dump and we had a whale of a time - before, during and after the game, singing, laughing and carrying on. Even the all black fan that threw beer over us in the bar after the game cos we were singing songs didnt put a dampener on it but made us all laugh even more.

So now you go and raise the football hooligans element but in reality that is just a small bunch of idiots who seem intent on maintaining the reputation that the English built up on the back of some poor years pollitically and socially that were siezed upon by the right wing element. Check out the numbers of travelling English fans to a major sporting event and compare the percentage of dicks causing trouble. It aint very much.

Nuff said ?? :waughh: :waughh:

Hardly true.
The ABs have a canny nack of losing when it matters most - ie. in every world cup post 1987 when winning was expected.
The English may not have won the football world cup since '66, but they have an impeccable record of reaching the final stages and progressing beyond the group stages. Very few countries, if any, can boast of such a record.
