Mind you he has probably never ever scanned the computer for anything other than viruses (which he has had a few of) in the whole time he has had the PC starting with Win98SE. Highly unlikely. There is about as much chance of that happening as me devoting myself to Microsoft's "innovative" products.:p You might be surprised. You should have checked the index.dat files. ;) Unless the computer was infected by email attachments being opened it's hard to do damage just by ordering library books and booking golf Tee off times. I have been astounded at some of the PCs that I have come across. Some of the ones that I expected to have very little malware sometimes turn out to be the worst of the lot and some which I expected to be riddled with it (no AV, etc) turn out to have virtually nothing. 599839	2007-10-14 03:43:00	Reminds me of a computer system that I was asked to look at by a male that liked to give the impression he was holier than holier.......... System was 98 or ME, cannot recall the exact details but it was running slower than a wet bus ticket, crashing, forever to start up. Asked all the usual questions which included the have you ever been to porn sites, pay sites etc which got a very up tight NO, strictly used for email and eBay and a couple of other sites. Managed to get into it, he had never ever cleaned out the cookies or temp files, 1000's would be a understatement but also a eye opener at which sites he had been visiting, your every day porn sites would be tame by what I was see'ing. Then I came across sub folders buried within more sub folders where he had downloaded the images and vid clips. No child porn but this all HARD porn all the same. Easy to decide what to do then, wiped the HD and reinstalled windows reinstalled his "protection" and left it at that. Made no attempt to recover his address book, emails, documents etc with the excuse that I wasn't able to. Weeks later he was infected again with multiple infections.	PinoyKiw (9675)
