| 771022 | 2009-05-05 00:15:00 | Has anyone tried the broadband link test at broadband.mpi-sws.org Attached file: Clipboard-1.jpg (www.imagef1.net.nz) (132 KB) The speeds look fine, but the comment about upstream queue sounds dire! This testing site is in Germany, I think, so there are going to be substantially greater delays than on Atlantic crossing paths, I suppose. Would this upstream queue figure have a bad effect when using, say, Skype to European destinations? Tried some google research on the topic, and it sounds as if one's ISP or even one's modem/router is a big factor. Interestingly, my friend in Auckland on Telecom broadband gets an upstream queue figure of half my result. |
