People are intentionally winding each other up, needlessly abusing each other, and just generally making PF1 a very unplesant place to be. It's really disappointing having to wade through abusive and irrelevant posts every time I come to the forum, just to get to the meaningful questions and answers. Please, if you can't be a mature and decent human being when you're online, then just go away. There are plenty of other forums on the internet which would welcome your type. I've been a member of PF1 since 2002, and it's been really disappointing to see PF1 being overrun by immature brats. A lot of the older members (older as in been here longer, rather than in age) who used to regularly provide really comprehensive and authoritative answers to difficult questions seem to be leaving the forum, which is a real loss to everyone here. While I'm not going to name names, those who have been around for a while would all have appreciated the assistance these few individuals have provided over the years. I would personally like to thank those people for helping me with tricky issues, providing real answers and not just trying to convince me to use Linux, Mac, or telling me I'm an idiot for using Vista. If you don't agree with me, then that's fine. I don't care what you think I should stick up where, and nor do I care who you want banned. Feel free to PM me with abusive comments to this tread - I just don't care. Mods: feel free to delete this thread if you think it is inappropriate. /rant |
