You may have to set the boot order in Bios to get the correct Drive Booting first. I mix and match several IDE and Sata drives and have no problems. Treat the DVD just as another drive, it is nothing special. |

My problem here is This Mobo (www.google.co.nz l1%3D3%26l2%3D11%26l3%3D563%26l4%3D0%26model%3D206 8%26modelmenu%3D1&ei=WQsBSs64K4TEtAOQg6XxBQ&usg=AFQjCNGyrRH__7OkTrujjo9tMohDATyc1g&sig2=2TG8heMf0SDMUE1e7X0GMg)has only 1 Hard Disk input So If I run both hdd then I can not run DVD drive. | 771437 | 2009-05-06 05:06:00 | Two IDE drives plus an IDE DVD no problem. You can grab a PCI card from likes of Dick Smith and that will allow you run two more IDE devices. You can run 2 devices off your motherboard, one set to Master, one to Slave. Small jumpers on the back and directions normally printed on Hard Drives and DVD Drives as to where the jumper should be. DSE Serial ATA + Parallel ATA PCI Card Product Code: XH8269 You can still add 4 more Sata Devices as well as your three IDE ones, plus with this card also another two Sata devices. I had two of these Cards in my last PC allowing for 8 extra devices, plus what was on the motherboard. Or you will pick up cheap cards that do this off trademe. |
