| 772260 | 2009-05-10 23:57:00 | I just bought the Logitech X530, apart from the fact im scared to death whether the subwoofer is going to kill my HDD (its about 60cm away) but the sound quality is fantastic. vibrations from the subwoofer may probably jolt the drive but to kill a drive with a subwoofer is unlikely as the hard disk would need to pull several G's while turned on to crash the heads. and the magnets in those speakers are comparatively weak to erase a hard disk due to the HDD casing, lid, etc, and the fact it will take several thousand guass to even flip a bit on a hard disk using an external magnet. |

| 772262 | 2009-05-11 02:46:00 | that's assuming the PC is on the floor, a sub should ideally be placed on the ground or similar hard surface. | williamF (115) | ||

| 772264 | 2009-05-11 09:23:00 | Logitech Definitely.. i have had others i found Logitech far better for its price. I now have the G51 Surround system. Excellent for gaming.. Excellent for movies.. and Excellent for music. I have a Sound blaster Audigy Sound card though. It has individual controls for Back speakers, centre, and sub.. and the normal volume control. I found i had to turn the sub down a bit though for a nice balance of bass to the volume. I see this Speaker set has been recommended already. Hope that helps. Hope that helps. |
