That and because my radio kept on cutting out when I was listening to the Willie Jackson show today. |

| 602048 | 2007-10-16 06:19:00 | Speaking as a DSE sales child here, we tend to get a fairly good idea of what players are reliable and what are not, so here in order of most returned to least returned (taking into account sales volume) arethe mp3 players we sell. 1. iPod Nano (sell more of these than anything bar the cheap dse players, get more back than anything, period.) 2. DSE players <2GB (sell more of these than anything, get more back than anything bar the iPod Nanos) 3. iPod Video (sell a few, get probably 60% of them back at some point for some sort of niggle, often bung headphones or broken hdds) 4. DSE players 2GB (only started selling these recently, had a few back, but nowhere near as high of a proportion as the smaller/older versions) 5. Old iPod Shuffles (the white stick shaped ones, at one point we had 5 of these sitting in the store as ex-service units, horrible things) All the following have exceedingly low returns rates, as in I would see maybe 1 or 2 a month -Samsung players - all types -New iPod Shuffles - very few returns -iRiver Players - all types -Creative players - all types Generally speaking we tend to get a lot of people come in asking to see our "iPods", most who just look at the players without any help jsut walk out with an iPod, most of these will be back at some point, the ones we give help to generally walk out with the new samsung players, and 95% of these never have any issues. Hope that helped |
