| 601940 | 2007-10-16 03:24:00 | funny thing is that if anywhere is going to sink under the waves it's wellington:lol: see how well the politicians swim! an earthquake with an epicentre in/around auckland city would probably signal the emergence of yet another volcano or maybe the reawakening of an old one. must i remind everyone that the auckland volcanic field (which auckland is built on) is only dormant. see rangitoto? it's less than 1000 years old and we could have a new one by the end of the millenium - or any one of the existing cones could get bigger |
