601818 2007-10-19 12:03:00 Personally, I think Alana and the webchallenge team have done a terrible job. I think the judges probably don't even know what's going on.

As for being web designing. Last time I checked, it actually was about the content as well. Personally I've seen better sites that would've gotten the third place if it was just about design anyway.

As gnail said, it kind of sucks when you spend so much time working as an individual or a team to enter the best site you can do, and find out that you lost to some third-rate website that looked like it took 2 hours to do.

I'm not saying it actually took 2 hours, there may be a coincidence that the content written was original, and that it was EXACTLY like those from the other sites, but I think the chances of that happening is lets say 0.0001%?

Since they state it in the rules, that plagurism means automatic disqualification, I think they should make it fair and actually STAND BY THEIR RULES. I hate it when people run away once they realised they now look like a fool.

Nevertheless that's just my opinion. Personally? I'm not too happy about it at all. I hope you guys can understand what I'm talking about.

For those who have some spare time, can you email netguide and TVNZ as well? There is only a few of us who realised this, people need to know about this and how they are dealing with the situation (by ignoring emails etc).

Please tell your friends etc. So they can get the true story

Note: I've posted this on the-hub.tv, owned by TVNZ. Apparently it seems they still have not moderated my message. I've also posted it in Netguide forums. Let's see if they can handle the truth and actually make my post public.

Emailing and posting in forums isn't going to get you anywhere. You need to phone them up and ask to speak to someone in charge.
