| 772098 | 2009-05-08 00:50:00 | Hi, SATA2 500GB Barracuda drive. Has bad sectors. Gets into windows I think after chkdsk then does nothing. Freezes. 3 months or less old. Now it is the 3rd HDD internally it works and I can get my data out but I had them backed up anyway .. Upon start up it says SMART BAD, backup and replace. So, what do I download to check it (like Seatools?), do I wipe it and then send it back to Seagate NZ or whoever? C1Pro Shopping I got from afaik has gone belly up. |
