| 771900 | 2009-05-07 05:18:00 | How can I stop those annoying windows alert balloons poping up.I have been into the registry and turned off "startbuttonballoontip",but each time I reboot, it appears again.I have been back into registry and deleted "startbuttonballoontip" but to no avail, its there when I boot again.Any suggestions would be welcomed Cheers T: | nzace (6057) | ||

| 771904 | 2009-05-07 08:32:00 | This the same for both XP and vista ( well close enough anyway) Open the control Panel, Security Center, on the Left, "change the Way Security Center Alerts me" - (For Vista) Select Dont notify and Dont Display icon. For (XP) - untick all boxes. Reboot. For Nod32 - open Nod - make sure you are in advanced mode( bottom Left corner) You didn't say what version of nod you have, but if you click on Help - then on right - open Support - type in Notifications it will show you where the setting is to disable them in relation to your version. This is for ESS V4 (www.imagef1.net.nz) |

| 771905 | 2009-05-07 09:54:00 | yo, Thanks for that tip in xp. My NOD32 is version 2.7 and cant find" notifications".Why did it not work when altering the registry? thks T | nzace (6057) | ||
| 771906 | 2009-05-07 11:20:00 | it wouldn't have worked in the Reg as its actually in a couple of places, by disabling it via the security Center, you can always simply reverse it in the future if you want. By removing it from the Reg - thats actually got the potential to cause other problems. Its been a while since I have used V2.7 - BUT this may help - have a look At this here (kb.eset.com) - it will be someplace in the settings, could be for all notifications, or you may have to work through AMON,EMON, DMON,IMON OR Nod32 System Settings. I'd suggest you upgrade to at least 3.0 Download page (www.eset.com) - its free to upgrade as long as your subscription is paid up. You will need your user name and password to download these. |
