| 773004 | 2009-05-11 05:06:00 | PC Company computer Windows XP Home Computer will boot the 1st time and run extensively... but wont reboot; need to let it sit for approx 20 minutes ~ and then it will boot. I have test the hard drive and ram: both passed When I was testing the hard drive the motherboard beeped - I didn't notice any pattern. When I test the ram: no beeps If it was overheating wouldn't it freeze or shut down down? Any suggestions of where to go from here? Thank you |

| 773005 | 2009-05-11 05:17:00 | Hmmmm look at the Capacitors on the Board, are they bulging, or brown gunk on them? It may also be a Power Supply - I'd try another PSU and see if the problem exists. Normally if a PC is over Heating, it will shut down - then once cool enough 10-15 minutes will start up again until it gets to hot >>>> repeat Check the CPU Heat sink/Fan - all clean, not full of crap ? |
