2009-05-10 07:12:00 | Im looking at upgrading my PC to something a bit more faster . I have been told that my current motherboard would support dual core . Any ideas as to what I would need to do?

I think thats the mobo I had before this one (till the shop killed it lol). So, I replaced it with an Intel mobo instead |

2009-05-10 07:50:00 | Remove heatsink(easy), open latch, insert CPU the RIGHT way(CPU should come with instructions) then close latch, and clip on the new heasink. Very Simple usually. Any Athlon64 x2 should work with that mobo, as speedy said you may need to download the latest bios from the Asus site and flash it on your computer. Might as well get the fastest dual core, as the price difference between the better CPUs and the slower ones isn't much: www.ifocus.co.nz www.playtech.co.nz Blam

2009-05-10 09:08:00 | Yes-but the graphics card is most important. On games that rely heavily on the CPU you should see a large difference. If you originally had a fast GFX card with that slow sempron, that CPU would have been bottlenecking the gfx card. What GFX card is it? Blam

2009-05-10 09:21:00 | Speaking of cards, once I installed x64, mine changed from a measly 256 to 1 GB :stare: Thats what CCC shows at the mo. Probably something to do with memory remapping or something?
