772653 2009-05-10 03:12:00 Just reinstall your sound driver.
From the CD or go to the motherboard manufacturers website and download it.

I have tried updating drivers (from the wizard that pops up every time i start up the pc, and so go from there, no disk tho ) and most of the time it says not possible, im not sure what CD i should be looking for, where do i find device info i need?

why would it be going ok yesterday and not today?

if i dont have a disk, what next?

detailed instructions please, as it ages since i did anything pc related, so not feeling real brainy on this subject :p

772655 2009-05-10 08:08:00 The easiest way.Find out the brand/model of the system or motherboard. Go to whatever site. Download the drivers / install them

Do you know the brand/model of the system or motherboard?

772658 2009-05-10 09:05:00 If you have XP, go to start / all programs / accessories / system tools / system info. Does it show a model to the right of system model??

If it does, do a search for it in google
