603670 2007-10-21 01:49:00 Chuck DiMaria portrays famous daredevil in Jef Bek's rock opera.

Nonstop adrenaline powers Jef Bek's masterfully hard-driving '70s-style rock opera, which finds in the famous daredevil's life — beneath its star-spangled kitsch — an iconic rebel and something unconquerable in the American spirit

You mean you are not standing there with your hand over your heart, tears in your eyes singing the star spangled banner after reading that stirring and moving piece of literary excrement

OK..it goes back a few avatars ago..I had the neat 1972 Ford F-100 4wd Pickup truck for sale and it was my avatar.

So...somebody asked if it was a truck or not a lorrie. (SP?)

I said it was a truck and it stuck..

I have been a Bobcat 843, a silly penguin and a real pix of myself..but I still either want to be a truck when I grow up ......or a cowboy.

And geese and ducks.

Chook = Chicken (but the right way up).

603675 2007-10-21 23:41:00 LA just went up a notch or two on the posh chart.

I just read in tvnz.co.nz:

Wanaka finds its perfect woman
Oct 22, 2007 8:01 AM

Wanaka's perfect woman has been chosen. The bad news for men is she is already spoken for. (Good news for the other men here: at least she won't be hurting anyone else!)

Married mother of two Debbie Scurr won the annual Wanaka Perfect Woman competition, outperforming other contestants blowing a dog whistle, chain sawing a log from a tree, driving a four wheel drive and skinning a rabbit.

But it was Debbie's ability to open a beer bottle with a stiletto which helped her take the crown. At least she didn't open it with her teeth or in her belly button!

The two runners-up were shepherds Michelle Osbourne of Mount Aspiring Station and Jaimee McMeeken from Ohai.

Hold me back! These are wimmin for which I have dreamed!
