| 603663 | 2007-10-22 03:17:00 | Heard on the radio a couple of hours ago that the two cars in front of Hamilton are under investigation by the stewards for a fuel temp problem....if regs been breached then Hamilton could be promoted to 4th.....then he wins the championship. | allblack (6574) | ||
| 603664 | 2007-10-22 03:31:00 | Still, serves McLaren right for cheating,Aaah, but they didn't. Material was leaked from Ferrari to them, McLaren told the FIA about it and returned the information (without using it), and the FIA started getting ****ty at McLaren. Hardly fair. And Hamilton may yet win this if there are disqualifications over that fuel cheating issue... |

The question was not whether or not they had actually used the information - just whether they had possession of information that could be used and if so, whether that was prejudicial to the interests of competition. Ron Dennis confessed the matter to the FIA only after Alonso told him that he was going to approach the FIA if Dennis didn't. Also, Alonso had been getting emailed information from one of Raikonnen's mechanics about Raikkonen's pit strategy and tire pressure. |
