I was impressed that they are looking at getting the OS down to the basics although what starts out as a great theory doesn't always come out well in practice. And I know it doesn't fit your reasoning, But your better off just cutting to bare face insults when it comes to WMG, But even they only work for a day or two, Then he starts posting how 9GB of Apple OS isn't bloat but 6Gb of MS OS is... AFAIK the Windows command line is never any good and you can't run anything with GUI, so what's the point? A Linux install that fits on a floppy can act as a router, but what can this MinWin do? M0n0wall is OpenBSD based firewall/router and is only 6MiB on disk and uses 64MiB ram for a 10Mibit connection with room to spare. Reducing obesity is good, but if it becomes anorexic and useless, what good does it have?	gnail (6819)
603777	2007-10-22 00:57:00	Its 3GB bigger . thats a 50% increase on vista not exactly small so it is amusing you're beating on windows's size when mac is worse but then again, who really cares? a 320gb hard drive cost like $120 120/320*3 = $1 . 26 to store the extra 3GB for the unwashed masses who buy all their systems prebuilt they won't even know anyway . something a bit less graphics and ram intensive would be nice, but you can turn the aero stuff off, it does look nice, and in a few years it won't be much at all . hell if you bought a decent computer it isn't a problem anyway! (built one for dad last week . $2160 including 23' widescreen lcd and OS, amd6000, silent 8600gts, 2gb ram - beat that macboy!)	motorbyclist (188)

People are pissing and moaning about wanting new features. New innovations and a better experience.
