England does have some of the ugliest people in world though, I agree. The new generation of 'chavs' seem to be outbreeding the people containing genes for attractiveness and intelligence. And, of course, the problem is exacerbated by the fact that all the good looking poms live over here now ;) With regards to food - ironically I can get better lamb (yes - NZ lamb) over there than here (which often annoys me). As for British motorcycles - I wouldn't turn my nose up at a Norton or a Triumph. Although I prefer Moto Guzzi personally. As for the rugby - well it's funny to see so many people here hell bent on seeing England lose predominantly because the ref in the NZ-France match was English. Never before have I witnessed such an obvious case of sour grapes against an entire nation. Not since the underarm incident I suppose. |

What do we have instead ???- Politicians/councillors and the people with precious waterfront views bickering on 'spoiling' the environment/looks etc !! That never would have happened . No other nation I know of has produced such quality comedians. I wish there was more of it on TV here. Chavs aren't something to be proud of though. Unless you count them as comedy, I suppose. They ARE funny to laugh at and quite unique to Britain. Having said that...recently I've been seeing quite alot of chav-like equivalents on the streets in New Zealand and I wonder whether chavdom is casting its net over here. |
