Is that the only protocol it can use?

Hmm. I don't have the imap option in my gmail account. How strange.

604788 2007-10-24 08:52:00 Winmacguy can you get the hell out of my thread please. I'm completely sick of you and iThings; you are only here to troll. I have no objection if you contribute sensibly, but the endless fanaticism has got to stop. Erayd (23)

Lol, and you people wonder why all the threads get locked? There is a difference between starting a fire and fueling it, the later leading to the worst.

Hmm. I don't have the imap option in my gmail account. How strange. It's still being rolled out. If you don't have it yet, you will shortly. The 'Forwarding & POP' tab in settings changes to 'Forwarding and POP/IMAP'.

604793 2007-10-24 10:25:00 Ah, WMG, can;t even talk about Gmail without starting to kiss Apples ass. Nicely done:thumbs: beeswax34 (63)
604794 2007-10-24 18:16:00 There's a good reason why people use Exchange server - obviously you haven't used the various scheduling tools which it offers. Try and do that with an iPhone and IMAP. somebody (208)
604795 2007-10-24 19:50:00 WMG, I've deleted your posts as they were not only off topic, but the constant 'pushing' of Apple products have got to stop. Surely you must be able to hit the reply-button without feeling like you have to defend or promote the all-might Apple corporation.

Take it to heart this time, continued abuse of your posting rights will only lead to one thing. And no, it's not apple pie.
