772607 2009-05-10 00:52:00 It was the same in Vista as well. :) pcuser42 (130)
772608 2009-05-10 22:31:00 Having not used Vista, I found this to be completely confusing for a while and a pain in the a**.
I still don't understand why you don't jump to the correct folder when double clicking on Docs & Settings instead of the Access Denied error or if you right-click you don't get the path the junction/shortcut points to.

772609 2009-05-10 22:38:00 I think if you take ownership of it that works too.. Blam (54)
772610 2009-05-10 22:40:00 You wont get into Documents and settings in Vista/W7 - its the way the OS has been designed, hence hidden files.

Since W7 is built from Vista - From memory the way it was described is the Documents and setting folder is there - but its been purposely set so you cant access it.

And as Blam pointed out, the its actually only a Junction to C:\Users.

Once again its simply because of XP
The Junction Points are in Vista for backward compatibility of pre-Vista applications.
