| 772403 | 2009-05-09 03:13:00 | My HP Compac Presario 3000,Vista Home Basic, on booting, gives message "Configuring updates Stage 3 of 3 - 0 % complete - do not turn off your computer" and then within 30 seconds proceeds to shut itself down and then restart, with the same sequence ad infinitum. My most recent activity before this bizarre behavior commenced was to use System Restore after experiencing some minor problems trying to download RoboForm Online. System Restore was stated to have been successfully achieved. I should be very grateful for any suggestions. |

| 772405 | 2009-05-09 04:07:00 | Try this (does the comp have an AMD CPU, this is a common problem when installing SP3 to these) h10025.www1.hp.com |

| 772406 | 2009-05-09 04:10:00 | Tap F8 on startup and see if you can select "Last known Good config" Hopefully that fixes it. If that doesn't, boot into safe mode wih command prompt, type in "rstrui" and hit enter. When system restore pops up restore it to an eariler time. Blam |
