772343 2009-05-09 01:47:00 Is there anyone who is able to repair a faulty VGA Chip on the mainboard of a Toshiba Qosmio G30 Laptop, without charging $1500 (like Toshiba)
cheers madworld

772344 2009-05-09 01:57:00 The short answer.... No...Most unlikey.

How old is the lapptop? I assume it's outside of the warranty period.

How do you know it's the VGA chipset? What about replacing the board? is that cheaper than repairing the VGA or not?

772345 2009-05-09 04:12:00 Of course it's out of warranty and the quote is from Toshiba for replacing the board. (The Laptop was at Toshiba and they don't repair or replace the VGA, they replace the board for $1500) madworld (14893)
