605154 2007-10-25 05:08:00 Hi Guys

I am usually one of the first to slag off Telecom for poor broadband and high mobile phone call prices.

But I got their monthly newsletter the other day and they advise that they have dropped the price of calling a mobile phone from a home phone !

The rates have come down from 48 cents to 44 cents for telecom mobiles and from 55 to 51 cents for vodaphone !

So thats about a 10 percent decrease which is something !

But you have to add GST to that and remember that you only get those rates if you are on their Anytime Plan and that if you are not (it costs extra each month) you pay more like 70 cents a minute !

605156 2007-10-25 05:18:00 Wow! Does this mean we don't still have some of the highest mobile phone calling rates in the world anymore?

Cool! Thanks Telecom!

I still get charged $1.39 a minute by vodafone for calling an 027 number, (or an 021 number if they have changed to telecom)This is their normal price if you are on prepay and are not using any of their promotions.
